Dennis E “Denny” Geary, 71, of Buffalo Twp., Butler County passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in his home with his family by his side.
Denny was born January 19, 1951 in Tarentum to the late John W. and Doris L. (Wolfe) Geary and has resided in the valley his entire life.
Dennis worked in outside sales for various heavy equipment manufactures and suppliers, in addition, he was a partner in the former Robert’s Clothing
He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Cabot, American Public Works Administration (APNA), Knights of Columbus, Cabot, and the Musicians Union, New Kensington. His hobbies included baseball, backpacking and golf.
In his early years, Denny was a member of the Escorts which later became Sunrise Band. He was one of the lead vocalists and played the trumpet and bass guitar. He was also a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church choir for 20+ years. Among his previously mentioned hobbies he was also involved in a small band made up of members of the church called “Just For Fun” which played at nursing homes and small type venues. Music was a large part of Denny’s life.
Denny leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of forty-four years, whom he married on July 8, 1978, Patricia Ann “Patty” (Pesci) Geary, his two daughters, Jenna Geary of Oakmont, Becca (Colton) Garvin of Freeport, Grandson, Levi G. Walker of Tarentum, and his brother, James W. (Kathie) Geary of Tarentum.
He was preceded in death by his parents mentioned above, and his son, Jason W. Geary and granddaughter, Lexis Walker.

Christian Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, Sept 20th at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot, with his Pastor Fr. Ward Stakem, OFM, Cap., as celebrant. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH) All attendees are invited to the church social hall for a time of remembrance and a meal with his family.
