James E. Stubrick, 94, of Freeport, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, PA.
James was born April 15, 1928 in Patton Township, PA to the late Elmer E. and Nellie Smith Stubrick. He was raised in East McKeesport, moved to California for 14 years and then resided in Allegheny County for most of his life. He was an Air Force veteran during the Korean War. James worked in the Engineering Lab of the Research and Development Department for McDonald-Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach CA until 1968 then he worked for the former Gibson Electric in Delmont, PA until 1975. He attended Transylvania Bible School where he became an ordained minister and continued to work at there machine shop until 1995. He regularly attended going to Grace Point Church of Freeport enjoying the fellowship of the church members and he also enjoyed going to air shows and traveling.
James leaves behind to cherish his memory, his niece: Sharon Gregory; his great niece: Jennifer and her children: Sean, Tyler and Nathan and his good friends: Della and James Sproat.
He was preceded in death by his parents mentioned above and his sister: Alice Ferraton.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral ceremonies at 11:00 AM in the DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth Street, Freeport, PA, 724-295-3100. The Reverend Mike Campbell officiating. Private burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles, PA.
