Julie A. Mackay, 52, of Buffalo Township, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born on February 7, 1968 in Pittsburgh to John A. and Martha (Novicki) Mackay.
Julie was a 1986 graduate of Fox Chapel High School. For the past 12 years, she worked as a Physical Therapist Technician at St. John’s/Armstrong Life in Mars. Julie enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling and sunbathing in her pool. She will best be remembered for being a strong independent woman and loving caring mother to her three daughters.
She is survived by daughters, Kassondra J. Healy and husband Andy of Natrona Heights, Allison M. Yockey and Bailey N. Yockey, both of Sarver; two grandsons, Dylan and Lucas Healy; companion, Michael S. Rapp of Sarver; siblings Keith Mackay of Pittsburgh, Margi Cooper and husband Stephen of Ohio, Cathy Caruso and husband Frank of North Carolina, Brian Mackay of South Carolina, Donna Roach and husband Willy of Coal Center, PA, Jayne Cregan and husband Dan of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents mentioned above and a brother, Bruce Mackay.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the Dennis J. Daugherty Funeral Home, 324 Fourth Street, Freeport, PA 16229.
Additional visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of funeral services at 11AM at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
