David L. Hoak, 70, of Bradenville (Westmoreland County), formerly of Buffalo Township passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 5, 2018.
He was born August 29, 1947 in Natrona Heights to the late Clifford L. Hoak and Evelyn R. (Brooks) Hoak of Sarver.
David graduated from Freeport Area High School in 1965. He was a Journey Pattern Maker at Latrobe Plastics, Loyalhanna for twenty-five years prior to his retirement in 2005. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen L. (Forsyth) Hoak of Latrobe, his two sons, David H. (Mary) Hoak of Pittsburgh and Christopher L. Hoak of Butler, three grandsons, two granddaughters, two great-grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters,his three sisters, Linda Durst of Freeport, Janet Hoak of North Carolina, Karen R. Hoak of Sarver and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father mentioned above, David was preceded in death by his brother in law Thomas A. Durst.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 8th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth Street, Freeport, PA, 724-295-3100 where funeral ceremonies will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 9th. Burial will follow in the Freeport Cemetery.
