Teresa Walker Obituary

Teresa Karen (Blake) Walker, 65, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Allegheny Twp., passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in her residence. She was born February 4, 1954 in Natrona Heights, Harrison Twp., to the late Frank and Mary (Kepics) Blake. Teresa was a high school English teacher for both the Leechburg and Kiski Area School Districts, prior to becoming a tour guide at Heinz Field. She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and all Pittsburgh sports teams. She graduated with a B.A. in Secondary Education from WVU, and was also a huge fan and supporter of the Mountaineers. In addition, Teresa loved the beach and taking family vacations to the seashore. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, Gilpin Twp. Teresa leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Ashley Walker of Morgantown, WV, her son, Bradley T. (Jaclyn) Walker of Allegheny Twp., her grandson, Beckham T. Walker, her brothers, Larry (Marlene) Blake of Dover, Gregory (Kathy) Blake of Vandergrift, Randolph (Lisa) Blake of Plum, and her two nephews, Matthew Blake and Tyler Blake, both of whom she was Godmother to. She was preceded in death by her parents mentioned above, and her beloved brother, Gerald D. Blake. At Teresa’s request, there be no public visitation. A private family committal ceremony will be held at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Gilpin Twp., followed by a Celebration of Her Life Gathering to be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Dennis J. Daugherty Funeral Home 324 Fourth Street, Freeport.
