Chester R. Wells, 57, of Winfield Twp., (Butler County), formerly of Natrona Heights passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in QLS—Sugarcreek, Worthington.
He was born July 28, 1967, in Natrona Heights to the late Margaret “Peggy” (Frederick) Zinz, and was raised in Natrona Heights by his grandparents, Joseph and Lillian Frederick.
Chet graduated from Highlands School District, Natrona Heights. He furthered his education by becoming a certified nursing assistant. He worked in nursing for most of his life, most recently at Fair Winds Manor, Sarver, for 17 years prior to his retirement due to his disability.
He was an avid gamer, especially enjoying the challenge of video games.
Chet is survived by his brother-in-law, Gary W. Christy of South Buffalo Twp., numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents mentioned above, his two brothers, Charles Wells, Joseph Wells and his sister, Marilee R. Christy.
Family and friends will be welcomed from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, July 17th at DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth Street, Freeport (724-295-3100) where funeral ceremonies will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 18th. The Reverend Jonathan D. Hill will officiate. Private burial will follow in the Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights, Harrison Twp.
