David Allen Fitzgerald, 70, of Freeport, (Armstrong County) passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at UPMC-Passavant-McCandless, Pittsburgh.
He was born August 13, 1955, in El Paso, TX to the late Gerald W. and Emogene (Eckman) Fitzgerald.
Mr. Fitzgerald was an operator for Chevron and then Western Refinery prior to his retirement in 2015.
Dave’s enjoyments included having breakfast with friends at the McDonalds, Natrona Heights daily, carpentry, and more specifically he had the ability to build anything from wood.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 14 years, whom he married on December 24, 2012, Kristine “Kris” E. (Holter) Fitzgerald, his daughter, Amie (Shawn) Quinn of Palm Bay, FL, his two sons, Jonathan D. (Samantha) Fitzgerald of El Paso, TX, Michael A. Fitzgerald of El Paso, TX; his step-children, Aaron Papanos, Gwen Papanos, his seven grandchildren; Angelina, John-Michael, Miguel, Roxanne, Rosalyn, Destiny, Aiden; his sister, Diane Hampton of El Paso, TX and his brother, Danny Fitzgerald of El Paso, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents mentioned above.
