Irven "Butch" Scholl

Irven “Butch” Scholl, II, 70, of Brackenridge passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 in UPMC—Magee Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Butch was born August 11, 1953 in Natrona Heights to the late Irven Leroy and Gladys Irene (Vorpe) Scholl. He was a life-long resident of the Brackenridge area.

He worked first, as a truck driver, then later as a crane operator for Allegheny Ludlum, Brackenridge Works until his retirement. In addition, he was a member of the Brackenridge American Legion Post 226, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #699, Tarentum, and Pioneer Hose Co., Station 112, Brackenridge. His true avocation was spending time with his grandchildren, grilling, cooking and spending time at his camp.

Butch leaves to cherish his memory, his two daughters, Tara Scholl (Andrea Granchelli, aka to Butch as “Mrs. A”) of Brackenridge, Jessica (Corey) Christy of South Buffalo Twp., his grandchildren, Maddox, Titan, Elley, Stella, his four sisters, Gloria (Tom) Young, Carol (Steve) Meso, Donna Scholl, Nancy (Vern) Brocious, his brother, Tom (Monica) Scholl, his former wife, Pamela J. Scholl of Brackenridge, his former mother in law, Rosemarie Krzeminski of Natrona, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents mentioned above and his brother, Randy M. Scholl.

Family and friends may call from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, March 14th and from 10 am until the time of funeral ceremonies at 11 am on Friday, March 15th at the DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth Street, Freeport. His sister, Pastor Donna Scholl will officiate. The Brackenridge Son’s of the Legion will hold a service at 7 pm Thursday in the funeral home.  A Celebration of Butch’s life will be Friday, March 15th from 5 pm until 9pm at the Brackenridge American Legion, 845 E 1st Avenue, Brackenridge, PA 15014.
