Karen L. (Shook) Rummel, 74, of Pittsburgh passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, in Belair Health and Rehabilitation Center, Lower Burrell.
She was born September 27, 1950, in Pittsburgh to the late William S. and Mary L. (McCready) Shook. Karen resided most of her life in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh. Karen worked as a caregiver for several different aging services until her retirement in 2014. She was a presbyterian by faith, a dedicated grandmother to her grandson, enjoyed going to the movies, and working word search puzzles.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Kaylyn (Bill) Klems of Washington Twp., and her grandson Carson Granado.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents mentioned above, her husband, Donald James Budner, II in 1998 and her son Donald James Budner, III in 2023.
Family and friends may visit from 1:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 2:30 pm Sunday, Nov. 10th at the DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth Street, Freeport. Pastor Paul Barton will be officiating.
