Lois Y (Hutchens) Beer, 86, of Brackenridge, formerly of Freeport passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 with her family by her side in the UPMC—St. Margaret’s, Pittsburgh
She was born September 11, 1935 in Butler, PA to the late Orval A. and Sarah M. (Hutchison) Hutchens. Lois resided most of her married life in Freeport, before living in Brackenridge for ten years.
Lois was of the protestant faith, enjoyed playing bingo, and traveling to Las Vegas and Atlantic City to gamble.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her three sons, Gary Beer of Spring Hill, FL, Jeff Beer of Tarentum, George A. Beer, Jr. of Vandergrift, her ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, her brother John “Jack” Boyer, of Forsyth, MO.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents mentioned above, her husband, George A. Beer, Sr. on August 14, 1997, a grandson, Jeffery, four sisters and one brother.
Family and friends will be received from 11:00 am until the time of funeral ceremonies at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 31st in the DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME 324 Fourth Street, Freeport. (724-295-3100), with Reverend Jonathan D. Hill officiating. Committal services and burial will follow in the Freeport Cemetery.
