Mildred "Millie" (Smith) Rezak

Mildred “Millie” (Smith) Rezak, 88 , of Cabot, formerly of Buffalo Twp., passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Harrison Twp. She was born August 1, 1928 in Buffalo Twp to the late Stanley and Ester (Lepkowski) Smith. Millie graduated from Freeport Area High School.  She married Joseph Rezak in 1955, and together they owned Grandview Farms, Sarver. Millie worked as a Government Compliance Manager at Schenley Distillery, Gilpin Twp. and worked at American General Insurance Agency in Sarver. She was a dedicated volunteer at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Allegheny-Kiski Health Foundation, and the Four Corners Unit of the American Cancer Society. Millie was a devout member of St. Mary Mother of God Parish in Freeport, and resided at Concordia in Cabot, PA. She was dearly loved by her many nephews, nieces, and extended family members and truly enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by sister-in-laws Bernice Cribbs, Dorothy Rezak, Birdie Posney, and numerous nieces and nephews. Millie was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Rezak in 1978, brother John Smith, sister-in-law Mary Rita (Conroy) Smith, brother-in-law Leonard Rezak, sister-in-laws Ann Liti, Wilma Kelly, and Kathryn Krchnak.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, Jan. 22nd from 1:00pm to 5:00 pm at the Dennis J. Daugherty Funeral Home, 324 Fourth Street, Freeport, (724-295-3100) where a parting prayer service will be held at 9:30 am Monday, Jan. 23rd. A Christian Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am at St. Mary, Mother of God, Roman Catholic Church, Freeport, with her Pastor, Reverend Ronald Maquinana as celebrant. Committal services and burial will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery, Freeport. Memorial contributions may be made to the Allegheny-Kiski Health Foundation, One Acee Drive, Natrona Heights, PA 15065.
