Miles R. Miller, 96, of Freeport, Buffalo Township (Butler County) passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in his home surrounded by his daughter and friends. He was born on March 24, 1928, in West Deer Twp., to the late Mario Tabacchi and Nellie (Muse) Miller. Miles was retired from PPG Research in Harmarville where he had worked as a carpenter. He was a member of Pleasant Unity United Presbyterian Church. Additionally, Miles enjoyed model trains and was known for telling a good joke.
He is survived by his children, Jan E. Miller of Sarver, Tim A. Miller of Cranberry and Lori J. Miller of Freeport. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude J. (Rankin) Miller and his son, Gary R. Miller, Sr. At Miles’ request there will be no visitation or services. He will be laid to rest privately in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Twp., beside his wife. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth Street, Freeport. (724-295-3100). Memorial contributions may be made to Frankie’s Friends Cat Rescue, 730 5th Avenue, New Kensington, PA 15068.
