Pearlette C. “Cathy” Mackowiak, 81, of Sarver, Buffalo Twp., (Butler County) passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Harrison Twp.
Cathy was born March 28, 1944, in Freeport to the late Adam D. and Elizabeth Marie (Faith) Flemm. She resided in the Alle-Kiski valley for most of her life.
Mrs. Mackowiak was a Catholic by faith, enjoyed embroidering, playing games with family and friends, painting by numbers but her true avocation was her love for her dogs. She worked as a secretary in the printing industry for many years.
She is survived by her sister, Janet Huth of Marienville and her nephews and nieces.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents mentioned above, her husband Raymond Mackowiak on August 5, 2020, and her siblings, Alice Flemm Dufford, Paul Flemm, Sr., Jean Flemm Clever, William Flemm, Raymond Flemm, Ralph Flemm, Thomas Tantlinger, Ken Tantlinger, and Vivian Tantlinger Mochanski.
In accordance with Cathy’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral ceremonies. Burial will be at the convenience of her family. The DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth Street, Freeport. (724-295-3100) is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
