Rosemary 'Lala' Aiello

Rosemary "Lala" Aiello, 89, of Freeport, passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, in the Alle-Kiski Medical center, Natrona Heights. She was born Dec. 27, 1926, in Freeport, to the late Ponto Concetta (Orsini) Aiello and was a resident of Freeport Borough all of her life. Rosemary was a graduate of Freeport High School, class of 1945. She worked for the former Freeport Telephone Company prior to becoming a medical assistant for several area physicians. After her retirement in the late 80s, Rosemary worked as a cook for the late Rev. Denis Sweeney, former pastor at her church. Rosemary was a faithful member of St. Mary, Mother of God, Roman Catholic Church, Freeport. Her hobbies included cooking, baking and traveling, especially her trips to Italy. She is survived by her brother, Alfred P. "Fred" Aiello, of Lower Burrell; her sister, Constance M. Jansen, of South Buffalo; and her nieces and nephews. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents mentioned above; brothers, Arthur Triveri, Anthony "Tony" Triveri and William Aiello; her brother-in-law, William F. Jansen; and her sister-in-law, Raffelina R. "Ralphie" Aiello. 
At Rosemary's request, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at St. Mary, Mother of God, Roman Catholic Church, 608 High St., Freeport, with her pastor, the Rev. Ronald Maquinana, as celebrant. Private burial will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery, Freeport. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth St., Freeport, 724-295-3100.
