Wanda V. (Grafton) Ridinger, 91, of Ford City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 30, 2018, at the ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township, with her family by her side. She was born Aug. 29, 1926, in Kittanning, to the late Lawrence Boyd and Mabel Claire (Campbell) Grafton. Wanda was a life long resident of the Kittanning area. Mrs. Ridinger was a member of the Union Baptist Church in North Buffalo Township. Wanda loved bird watching, baking, cooking, working word searches, puzzles, reading her Bible, and her true avocation was her family. Wanda leaves to cherish her memory her children, Larry E. (Molly) Ridinger, of Prospect, John R. (Karen) Ridinger, of Kittanning, Donald P. (Nancy) Ridinger, also of Kittanning, Clifford L. (Pam) Ridinger, also of Kittanning, James R. (Cheryl) Ridinger, also of Kittanning, Wannetta F. Wilding, of Ford City, Lou Ann (Malcolm) Heilman, of Kittanning, and Carol L. (Larry) Smith, of Ford City; 20 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, mentioned above, she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Ridinger, Sr., on Jan. 6, 1996; her sons, William D. Ridinger, Jr., and Ronald W. Ridinger; her grandchildren, Angela and Donald P. Ridinger, Jr., Allison Logan, and Wendy Ridinger; and her six brothers and five sisters. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 3, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, May 4, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies at 11 a.m. in the Union Baptist Church, 229 Cadogan Slate Lick Road, Kittanning, Pa. 16201, (North Buffalo Township), with her pastor, the Rev. Jonathan D. Hill, officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Dennis J. Daugherty Funeral Home, 324 Fourth St., Freeport, Pa., 724-295-3100, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Baptist Church.
