William Aiello, 77, of Washington, D.C., formerly of Freeport, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in his home. He was born April 20, 1937, in Freeport, to the late Ponto Aiello and Concetta (Orsini) Aiello, where he resided until moving to Washington, D.C. in 1960. Bill graduated from Freeport High School, class of 1955. For 42 years, Mr. Aiello worked as an installer for Westinghouse Elevator, Washington D.C. William was a member of St. Mary Mother of God Parish, Freeport, and attended St. Peters on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. He enjoyed travelling, attending different baseball stadiums around the country and golf. Mr. Aiello is survived by his sister, Rosemary Aiello, of Freeport; brother, Fred (Ralphie) Aiello, of Lower Burrell; sister, Constance M. Jansen, of South Buffalo Township; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents mentioned above, William was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur Triveri and Anthony "Tony" Triveri; and brother-in-law, William F. Jansen. Family and friends may call from noon to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in the DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth St., Freeport, 724-295-3100, where a parting prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary, Mother of God Roman Catholic Church, Freeport, with church administrator the Rev. Kenneth Zaccagnini as celebrant. A private burial will be held at the St. Mary Cemetery, Freeport.
