William H. "Bill" Wyant III, 67, of South Buffalo Township, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler. He was born June 6, 1947, in Kittanning, to the late William H. Wyant II and Edith (Adams) Wyant. He was raised in Kittanning and graduated from Kittanning High School in 1965, prior to moving into South Buffalo Township, where he had lived for the past 35 1/2 years. Mr. Wyant worked for Allegheny Ludlum for 38 years. He worked in laminations prior to working in the melt shop. William was a member of Srader Grove Presbyterian Church, South Buffalo, where he was an elder. He was a member of the Freeport Area Kiwanis Club, Boy Scout Master for Troop 511, Armstrong F and AM Lodge 239, Freeport, Pittsburgh Consistory and the Syria Shrine, Harmar Township. He enjoyed golfing, especially at Cabin Greens, South Buffalo, taking road trips, hiking, maintaining his fish pond and puzzles. Mr. Wyant is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia J. "Pat" (Hogg) Wyant, of South Buffalo; three sons, William H. (Kimberly) Wyant IV, of Mechanicsburg, Timothy D. Wyant, of South Buffalo, and Samson Scott Wyant, of South Buffalo; three sisters, Linda (Clyde) Kline, of West Kittanning, Susan (Wayne) Seidle, of Seneca, and Joyce (Rick) Johnson, of Brookville; grandchildren, Zachary Phy, Jordon Wyant and Sarah Wyant; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Bob (Dixie) Kirkwood, of Ford City. In addition to his parents mentioned above, William was preceded in death by an infant brother, Terry Allen Wyant. Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 9, in the DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth St., Freeport, 724-295-3100. Funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, in Srader Grove Presbyterian Church, 108 Srader Grove Road, Freeport, with the Rev. Robert Hindman officiating. Burial will follow at Brush Valley Brethren Church Cemetery, Washington Township, Armstrong County. The Armstrong Lodge will hold services at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
